Up for your consideration is a Napoleon III Gilt Metal and Burlwood Mounted Musical Humidor of hexagonal form, opening to a mirrored interior. The piece is finely inlaid with metals and natural materials, and was made c. When the top mechanism is turned, music plays and the doors swing open to display the contents (24 cigars). The piece is 11″ tall, and 6″ wide. Overall, the piece is in excellent condition. Two doors of the humidor do not open when the knob is turned, however are easy to open by hand once the rest of the doors are also open. The top piece (which, when turned, opens the doors) is somewhat loose This is likely an easy fix as it is likely a detached wire. There are three pieces of metal inlay missing from the top of the humidor, and one piece of inlay from the top of one door, see photos. Additionally, some of the metal decoration to the sides of the knob is missing, see photo. One door of the humidor remains slightly open when the rest are closed, see photo. Finally, three of the gilt cigar holders on the inside of the humidor doors are missing their bottom sections. The music box appears to be in goof functioning order.
