ART NOUVEAU, VILLEROY & BOCH POTTERY HUMIDOR/COVERED JAR: This gorgeous antique pottery piece is very rare and unique. It is styled in a wonderful art nouveau flair. The cover also has a beautiful acorn shaped knob on the top. The glaze is a mottled glaze containing shades of blue and mauve. It is extremely pleasing to the eye. The interior of this covered jar is glazed in mauve. It is approximately 8 tall from base to top of the acorn knob. It is approximately 5 wide. It is signed on the bottom with the Villeroy & Boch mark, the number 137 and the artist’s initials. This piece is in wonderful vintage condition with no chips, cracks, scratches, crazing or repairs. This rare 1920s litho “John Ruskin” humidor 25 cigar tin, measuring 5 1/2″ x 3 1/2″ x 3 1/2, is in very good condition with no rust, some creasing on the upper edge and some minor age related paint scrapes. Much of the original high gloss finish remains. This very attractive light blue tin with gold and red lettering was made by the Liberty Can Company, Lancaster, PA. He was also a pioneering conservationist who foresaw the greenhouse effect. The cigars were manufactured by the I Lewis Cigar Manufacturing Company, Newark, NJ in Factory 1282, 5th District, NJ. VERY RARE 1850’s HAVILAND LIMOGES TOBACCO JAR PIPE HOLDER ASHTRAY HUMIDOR

VERY RARE 1850’s HAVILAND LIMOGES TOBACCO JAR PIPE HOLDER ASHTRAY MIDDLE EASTERN FIGURAL. Very rare Haviland, Limoges tobacco jar with a pipe holder. It has the 1st mark for 1850-65.. Haviland made 3 humidors. All 3 were designed with far east subjects… They were displayed in the 1855 Paris expo. This is one of the 3 seldom seen. The hat lifts and is the holder for the tobacco with a well for a sponge in the hat. The hair on the sides has holes to hold pipes and the mouth is open with a curved lip to hold burnt matches. It measures 6″ high and 6″ diameter. THE PIECE IS IN GOOD CONDITION. THERE IS A CRACK ON THE LEFT SIDE NEAR THE TOP. I BELIEVE IT IS A CRACK BECAUSE THE LINES IN THE CRACK DO NOT ACTUALLY INTERSECT OR MEET. IF IT IS REPAIRED IT’S A VERY GOOD REPAIR. THE GOLD HAS SOME FADING BUT LOOKS DECENT.
