This Oak Smokers chest, was used to store cigars as well as loose Tobacco in the metal tin, the lid of the tin appears to be made from a Lead alloy and sits on top of any tobacco, keep it weighed down and keeping the air out. The cigar rack storage slots are 15mm wide and can hold cigars up to 11cm long. The metal tray lifts out to reveal a hidden secret drawer which can be pulled out with a little leather tag. Please see the photos for details. The outside of the box is banded in Brass straps as well as Brass handles, with a Brass plaque with a Family Crest, and there is also a working lock and key.
