Offered is a Beautiful Vintage Antique Clear Glass Tobacco Humidor or Biscuit Jar. I have been told by some that this is a tobacco Humidor and others claim it is a biscuit jar. Whatever it’s purpose was, it is stunning! It measures about 6 1/2 tall and is in excellent condition! The jar features concave elongated ovals that continue around the whole bottom section of the jar. This is decorated in between the ovals with embossed tear drops and other ornate embossed designs. The lid continues with reversed embossed ovals decorating the the perimeter of the lid. The lid’s handle is three sided with a concave grip to securely hold the lid when lifting. The lid’s handle is quite detailed and ornate. What a beautiful example of early clear glass work. The only imperfection I feel is a tiny flea bite chip on the interior lip of the base.
