Vintage Atlanta Shriner Glass Metal Humidor Art Nouveau Lid Crystal Base. The end of the Schriner Sword on the lid is missing. Heavy crystal glass humidor with metal lid in art nourveau floral designs, with insignia of Atlanta Shriners Temple Yaarad. Measures 8 1/2′ high and 5 wide. Glass section is 5high and 4 1/4′ in diameter at base. No signature or marks on lid or base. Lid appears to be pewter or other grey colored metal, with a bronze finish. The Shriner’s sword and crescent moon has the following inscription: Yaarad Temple, A. The lid has classic Art Nouveau design, with a lush flower, foliage, and scrolling elements around the top. Good condition, no cracks or chips to the glass. The lid has a “basket” which would have held cotton. The glass is quite heavy, with faceted sides and a sunburst design on the bottom. Well used and cared for, this is a really fine item for the collector of Shriner memorabilia, and/or tobacco collectibles.
