Stunning 1996 Ronald Starnes Kitemark Mahogany Humidor 100 Cigar Tobacco Storage

Please check out some of my other auctions for more hunting, outdoor gear, cigar stuff, watches and great deals. Thank you for looking! Stunning piece of classic American craftsmanship. The lid does not slam shut when dropped but rather has the beautiful “pffff” sound indicative of a superior quality humidor with a tight seal. This humidor was custom made in 1996 by Ronald W. Starnes, master cabinet maker. There is actually a book published about him titled Mark of the Kite: The Life and Legacy of Ronald W. This humidor is made of Mahogany and Spanish Cedar. It holds at least 100 cigars. It has a hygrometer affixed to inner lid, two removable shelved compartments. This case came from an estate. The box is masterfully crafted with inlays and fine brass hardware. It will easily hold about 100 cigars. It is signed on the bottom and overall is a fine quality humidor. The top left side where the lid meets the base is slightly askew. It is only aesthetic and still holds a tight seal. I’ve had a master woodworker look at it and it can easily be fixed if you choose. I will leave that up to you. The bottom shows a a tight age crack in the outer wood. When I close the lid, letting it free fall from a couple inches, it makes a pfffff sound, it does not clack together or slam shut which is indicative of a superior quality humidor. Measures; case 19″ x 11″ x 6 (48.2cm x 27.94cm x 15.24cm). There are a few other. Small marks that were very hard to photograph but I did my best to capture them. Antique Early 20th Mahogany Cigar Humidor Chest Box Lined Campaign Chest Brass

A great looking old humidor, nice vintage patina show signs of wear commensurate with its age. Has a cool brass opening hole handle, tight fine hinges, silver metal liner and plenty scratches. You could probably cover up with a little oil and get some corrosion on the metal wider but overall really cool piece. I think the wood is cherry, but I’m not a Serious wood guy so I’m not certain check out the photos and make your own conclusions. This antique early 20th-century cherry? Cigar humidor chest box is a vintage piece of history originating from the United States. It is lined with a campaign chest design and adorned with brass accents, adding a touch of sophistication to any collector’s display. Antique Early Humidor Cigar Moisitining Box Drawer Top Cedar Tray Brass Knob

Offered here is a rare and possibly very early example of a cigar humidor or moistening box. This handsome, handcrafted piece likely dates to the mid to late 19th century, and showcases elegant, old-world craftsmanship. It measures approximately 12.5″ wide x 7.25″ deep x 4.5 tall. Constructed of what appears to be rosewood, with a warm, aged patina. Early dovetail joinery at the corners, indicating quality hand construction. The lid appears to be made from two joined pieces of wood, with a visible center seam/split where the boards meet – typical of early construction techniques. Interior features a removable cedar tray, perfect for cigars or accessories. A larger drawer below includes a flush-set brass pull tab. The thin wooden panel forming the base of the box is partially missing; this can be replaced if desired. The lid shows a center seam/split, likely from the way the wood was originally joined – not a crack, but part of the original build. Surface wear and minor scratches consistent with age. This is a beautiful and early cigar-related piece – ideal for collectors or anyone who appreciates antique woodenware and fine craftsmanship. Thank you for looking!
