Black Forest Cigar Box. We are offering this rare antique Black Forest Cigar Box – Swiss carved cigar box with lifting front – Brienz wood carving sculpture – 19th century masterwork – hand carved wooden box – carved with two birds with glass eyes – the detail is most incredible – the dimensions 13″ x 8,2″ x 13,5H (33 x 21 x 34 cm) – age c. 1910/1935 – it is in a very nice antique condition. Exactly condition see the big Fotos. This masterwork is perfect for a special eye-catcher! Similar box you can find in the book “Swiss Carvings of the Black Forest” page 162 and page 172 – worked by Ed. Antique Swiss Black Forest Wood Pipe-Tobacco Humidor Music Box Bear Brienz c1920

Antique Swiss Black Forest Wood Carving Humidor Music Box Bear Glass Eyes Brienz c1920s. The box drawer/tray opens by pressing down on the button at the front of the ashtray. We see a figural wood carved bear atop the box, with the match holder behind him. The bear has glass eyes. This piece is also a music box. It plays Balalaika and Mariandl. The underside shows a label with the song titles, and a label from E. BRIENZ, Stock #, Original cost. We also see 285, which looks to be a previous price. Above the winder and 285, on the edge, we see a stamped letter R or B. The piece measures 6 1/4″ tall, 4 1/4″ wide (with bear’s nose), and 4 7/8 deep. This piece is part of the unsold, uncirculated carving stock from the famous JOBIN carving emporium in Brienz, Switzerland. Jobin will be closing its doors soon, permanently, so collect these items while you can. Very good used/antique condition with great patina. Functional parts work properly. Antique Swiss Black Forest Wood Carving Humidor Standing Bear Glass Eyes c1900

Antique Swiss Black Forest Wood Carving Humidor Standing Bear Glass Eyes Tree Trunk c1900. This is carved from wood by one of the master carvers of Brienz, Switzerland and dates to circa 1900. We see a figural standing bear on top of a simulated tree stump. The top of the stump opens toward the rear to reveal the tobacco storage. The bear has glass eyes. There is a rectangle on the bear’s left (your right) side which holds a box of matches. Marked on the underside with previous stock numbers. It measures 9 13/16″ tall, 5 1/4″ deep, and 3 3/4 wide. Very good used condition with great patina. This is an antique item which may show very mild signs of age wear, but currently shows no damage or repair. I offer for sale a fabulous 19th century (1800’s) large antique Victorian to Edwardian era French Black Forest 15 cigar chest or cabinet, a beautiful decorative box with ornate carvings two large bird or Curlew figural top, and also floral carvings on each side including the back. This case has a complete interior consisting of 7 drawers or trays plus another drawer beneath the doors to hold cigar smoking accessories. All of the original interior cigar trays remain with the chest and will hold a total of 63 cigars, as each wooden shelf has recesses for 9 cigars. No breaks, warps or missing pieces. Each shelf slides smoothly in and out of the grooved slot construction of the interior. A beautiful piece of furniture where ever you decide to display it. 19th C Black Forest Carved Wood Cigar Chest withDrawer Holds 42 Cigars

Black Forest Carved Wood. Cigar Chest with Drawer. Fresh from the Dallas estate of an avid collector of fine antiques , a hand carved. Elaborately detailed on the top and four sides, the chest has floral and leaf carvings on the top, front and two sides. Closed, the cigar chest looks like a beautifully carved box. When the lid is lifted the doors swing open to reveal 42 spaces for holding cigars. There is a drawer at the bottom of the chest for matches or supplies. From any angle it is perfect for display. MEASUREMENTS: The chest is 9 3/4 inches wide, 8 inches high and 8 3/4 deep. CONDITION: In excellent pre-owned antique condition as shown in images. Has the original lock but the key is missing. There is one small chip on the bottom of the chest as shown in the last photo. Wonderful patina and wear consistent with age. Please examine the photos as they are part of the description.
