At some point, someone put some felt pads on the bottoms and on the bottom of the tops. If you would like more pics, let us know. Please ask any questions and p. Offered for your private collection is this incredible antique large Figural porcelain humidor. It is marked on the bottom with the numbers “2561/36″ incised into the clay. This looks to be German or from Austria based on the subject matter. It features a melancholy man dressed for bed as they did back in the early 1800’s enjoying one last smoke of his Tyrolean pipe before he takes of his “smoking jacket” and turns in for the night. He is in excellent antique condition. He measures 8.25 inches tall and about 6 inches wide. He will be the conversation piece of your collection! Add him to your private collection today or give as a fabulous antique gift!

IN ALMOST PERFECT CONDITION. THERE IS ONE PIN HEAD SIZE MISSING DOT OF BLACK PAINT ON HIS LEFT INNER FOOT. THIS CAN BE EASILY FIXED. THERE IS ALSO A SLIGHT PURPLISH TINT AROUND THE BOW ON THE BACK OF HIS NECK ON THE LEFT LOWER SIDE. HARDLY NOTICEABLE, IN MY OPINION. THERE IS CRAZING NOTED. OTHER THAN THAT, HE IS JUST SHY OF BEING PERFECT. NO CRACKS OR REPAIRS NOTED. PLEASE VIEW ALL PHOTOS.
The design and the gold trim are bright and intact. A branching hairline crack at the rim……. See photo of the inside. Hairline is very difficult to detect, from the outside.
