Art Deco WWII AEG- Hungary Solid Silver 800 Ag. Humidor Cigar Box

Art Deco Hungarian Solid Silver 800 Humidor Cigar Box. Signed by factory workers. A memento from the AEG Germany factories. I believe the box was most likely a gift from the people working at the AEG BUDAPEST branch to their director after the factories were closed during the Soviet occupation of Romania, Hungary and Austria 1944/45 – 1948/49. Measures approximately 6.88 inches x 3.74 x 1.77 inches. Total weight approximately 374 grams. Approx Silver Weight 257 gms 800/1000Ag. Please be sure to view all photos carefully as they are included as part of the item description! I sell antique and vintage collectible stuff – unique items that have history, and may show signs of this – it’s part of their charm. I try to describe any obvious faults as truthfully as I can. 19th Century Meriden Wilcox Gilt Silver Plate Humidor with Bronze Hunting Dogs

Highly detailed plated silver cigar humidor, with repoussé floral motif. Rectangular heavy box with two figural hunting dogs in bronze on the hinged lid. Inside compartments are missing, lined in red fabric. Made by Wilcox Silver Plate Company Meriden Connecticut. It is stamped on bottom with all this information along with the numbers: 7702 1/2. The Wilcox Silver Plate Co. Was formed in Meriden, Connecticut. From 1865 to 1867, it was known as the Wilcox Brittania Co. In 1898, the company was acquired by the International Silver Company. 7.25x 6 x 3.
