This is for a very rare silver plated Vanderbilt University humidor with. The Vanderbilt marque on a badge in the center of the lid. The box is engraved “Hand-made in Italy exclusively for Vanderbilt University” on the bottom. There is swag and then there is VIP swag. A select few people got one of these humidors and it wasn’t you or me. If I’m able to verify that it is solid silver the price will change considerably. As shown this polishes out to a bright mirror finish. Any light scratches will come right out of fine silver like this. I can’t find any damage except for a very mild ding about the size of a tic-tac. The interior is cedar lined and is very clean. The interior measures 7.75″ x just under 11″ wide. This will stack cigars in two layers deep depending on the diameter/ring gauge of the cigars. You could also use this for other things like stationery or pens. This is very well made with a piano style hinge that runs the full width of the box. Your fellow alumni might have some cool things but they don’t have one of these.
