Handsome and hard to find vintage terracotta humidor or tobacco jar from Johann Maresch. The head of a smiling sailor rests atop a wood grain barrel. Nice addition to a tobacciana (cigar pipe) collection. SIZE: 4.25 (11cm) diameter & 7.75 (19cm) tall approx. CONDITION: Very Good vintage condition with minimal paint loss. There is one small chip on the rim of the lid (not seen when in place) and one shallow chip on the rim of the base. MARKS: impressed Czechoslowakia JM and a symbol on the base.
