This antique Terra Cotta dog head humidor/tobacco jar is a rare find for collectors of vintage tobacco memorabilia. Its charming dog head design adds a touch of whimsy to any collection. The artist constructed the piece with an emphasis on detail. The piece really shines when it comes to touches of realism most notable in the design of the fur and skin flaps making the dog look more realistic. The tones of orange and brown come together nicely and make this a very cohesive piece. The jar is made up of two pieces, the base and the lid. The lid has previously been cracked and was glued together to add stability and ensure the piece is stable. Other than that the rest of the damage is more normal wear and tear such as small scratches and paint chips. The head measures about 8″ wide at the widest point and 6.5″ tall.
