Wonderful Majolica Tobacco Jar. Blackamoor Boy with Pipe Sitting on a Watermelon. This lovely jar has wonderful is the perfect piece for any Majolica collector. The colors are wonderfully vibrant. There is no crazing or cracks on this piece. The animated little boy is wearing a hat while sitting on top of a watermelon. He is holding a pipe in his hand. There are only two things that I can find wrong on this piece. First, there is a sharp edge on the lip that occurred when it was made as indicated by the color and glaze on it. Second there is an area on the bottom where the surface of the color is off. Please examine the pictures as part of the description. Check out my other items and store. New listings all the time.
