This appears to be an Antique Traditional Mahogany Wood Copper-Lined Smoke Stand Humidor Cabinet. Possibly early 20th C. Here are some key details about this. Purpose: These cabinets were primarily used as smoking stands, designed to store tobacco products and smoking accessories, with the copper lining in the cabinet intended to help preserve the freshness of cigars or tobacco products. Materials: Typically crafted from solid mahogany with turned spindles and often featuring hand-carved details, reflecting the craftsmanship of the period. Design Features: In addition to the humidor cabinet, they often incorporated shelves or compartments for other items, making them functional side tables or nightstands. Condition: In good overall sturdy used condition with surface wear & tear. Has some finish deterioration, copper lining shows wear, etc… Latch is slightly bent but works as intended. See pics for further condition evaluation. Size: Measures approximately 24″ tall x 13 1/2″ wide x 11 1/4 deep.

Special Note: The original Decatur Industries was located in Berne, Indiana. It was renowned for its high-end pipe stands, racks, and rests, which were often made from precious woods like walnut or oak. The company’s products, including desktop humidors, ashtrays, and unique items like the “Car Boy Pipe Holder, ” were known for their craftsmanship and durability. Evidence suggests the original Decatur Industries went out of business sometime before 2012. An online forum post from January 2012 references a “going out of business sale” from a few years prior. The company later re-emerged with a new line of products. The modern brand offers new pipe stands, rests, and racks made from exotic hardwoods, in addition to a new line of cleaning products and tools called Decatur Pipe Shield. Antique 19th century Victorian wooden cigar caddy or cigar presenter box. Free standing table top cabinet form. Sarcophagus styling to the top. Centered by ornate metal cartouches, the side hinges with stylized foliate decoration. Resting on four knob feet. Cabinet measures 11 3/8″ height x 8 1/8″ width x 7 1/2 deep. Opening to reveal eight sliding drawers with metal knobs. The carved grooved slots are capable of holding up to 6 cigars per drawer. The carved slots measure 5 1/4″ length x 13/16″ width. Will easily hold cigarillos and cigars with a cepo of 40 gauge with a 5 1/8 maximum length. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use.
