Cigar Decanter Silver Plate Humidor 1920s w Ashtray Champagne Bottle Antique Old

Silver plate cigar humidor circa 1920s. Shaped like a champagne bottle, meant to hold cigars, matches and also has ashtray on bottom. Defects: Minor pitting, small dent below the S in the word “CIGARS, ” threads on bottle top worn so the cap does not screw but nevertheless sit in place. Cigar in photo not included. Dimensions: 11 inches tall. If you have an issue, just let us know, and send a photo of any problems. We do not clean any collectibles nor antiques. We leave that to our customers to take care of. Do not allow children to handle. Do not use for consumption or usage. This is meant for adult display purposes only. NOTE: We are extremely careful with processing orders. Engraved Champagne Bottle Form Cigar Humidor Silverplate 1890. Antique silver plated cigar humidor in form of a champagne bottle with three compartments. It has matte finish with engraved foliate decorations and inscription “Cigars” in oval frame. Made by Pairpoint Mfg. Plating and threads feature excellent condition. This incredible humidor is 2 5/8″ in bottom diameter, 1 1/4″ in top diameter and 10 1/2 tall. The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering. We will be happy to assist in this. Pairpoint Cigar Humidor 1921 Match Safe Champagne Bottle Quadruple Silver Plate

For your consideration is this pairpoint Humidor match safe in the shape of a champagne bottle, it has four sections screw off end of each are separate pieces. The top holds matches, the center is for cigars the base is used as an ashtray. It is engraved cigars on the front, with what appears to be an engraved tobacco leaf above it. This has a manufacturing stamp to its base, which states Pairport manufacturing company, quadrupole plate, 1921. It is approximately 10 1/2 inches tall by 2 5/8 inches in circumference to the base. Cigars or matches do not come with this humidor. The cigar shown in photos are a little to large for this humidor. Original jewelers engraving reads CIGARS in capital script with an ingenious flowering tobacco leaf hand engraved above it. The beautiful Parisian Champagne Bottle unscrews into four separate pieces so as to be used as a hidden cigar humidor, ashtray, and match safe. The fun design perfectly matched the frivolous and bubbly mood of the wealthiest classes during The Gilded Age in America. The perfect accessory for the library or study of a well appointed Victorian home. Extremely short and limited production run. The scroll ornamentation was awarded a United States Design Patent On August, 22nd, 1893, and helped establish the reputation of PAIRPOINT for interesting design innovation.
