Very rare Gerbruder Heubach green jasper ware humidor bearing a tribal chief, ca. It is magnificent, with a wonderful relief of a Native American in profile on the lid and feathers, a tomahawk and related accessories on the front. It stands 5″ tall x 4″ wide. There is a small chip measuring approximately 1/3 under the rim of the lid and one small tobacco stain on the inside. This has been painted by the former owner with green paint in a very close color to the original. Otherwise, clean and amazingly well-preserved. What you see here is exactly what you will receive, from an estate liquidation. It is likely to have evidence of age-appropriate use.
