Elie Bleu Humidor Flor De Tabacos Fine Cigars Green Sycamore Ellie Blue Gift

This is for an Elie Bleu “Flor de Tabacos” “Fine Cigars” humidor in green sycamore with Birdseye maple inlays. It has dings low in the front and low in the back as shown. Only the front is worth mentioning. The back side of a humidor doesn’t factor in unless you have it facing out. All other surfaces look like new. There are lots of reflections in the photos. The only actual marks are shown in the 3rd and 7th photos. FYI if you or someone you know can work varnish with 3000 grit sandpaper and buff you can restore most anything. It’s just a finish like working out clear coat on a car. These humidors are all made in Paris, France and their internal components are sourced from Germany. Elie Bleu is known for it’s fine inlays and marquetry. This one has tasteful earth tones of green and brown with all text and borders in gold. The solid cedar interior appears to have never been used. The interior is evenly colored with no stains from water or tobacco. The cedar divider can be moved left/right or removed completely. The humidifier has a mark in the anodized finish and the hygrometer has marks at the lower edge which are only seen at eye level. The humidifier’s sliding shutter opens and closes correctly. GREAT 105mm WWII Army IDENTIFIED Trench Art Cigar Humidor, ITALY, Folk Art, GIFT

SUPER, LARGE 105mm WWII ARMY Military Trench Art Cigar Humidor, w/Nice IDENTIFICATION PLATE. DESCRIPTION: Scans show it all…. Very nicely made large WWII Trench Art cigar humidor. Made of (2) 105mm artillery bases. One serves as the bottom cylinder and the other is machined down to the base only to serve as the top. Diameter is machined slightly so that it fits nicely and tightly into the base. There is a nice large. 50 cal airplane machine gun shell round on the top, for decoration and to serve as a handle. On the bottom of the shell is the manufacturing information and the date 1944. On the top of the cover shell is some manufacturing information as well. THE BEST PART ABOUT THIS IS THAT THERE IS A SILVER PLATE RIVETTED TO THE SIDE WITH THE NAME “RICHARD LEARMONTH, ITALY”. My guess is that he was certainly an officer to have something made so nicely for him, AND VERY LIKELY A FLYER CONSIDERING THE MACHINE GUN ROUND DECORATION ON IT. Very nicely made, in excellent condition, with a light aged patina. It appears that it was polished at the time and has been well cared for and taken care of over the years and still has a nice bright aged finish as shown. A particularly unique, usable trench art item!! Stands about 10 3/4″ high to the tip of the bullet, 5″ high to the top of the cylinder/bottom part, and the latter is of course 105mm diameter. Something VERY DIFFERENT for your Trench Art or AIR CORPS collections…… NAMED TRENCH ART TO THE OWNER AND BATTLE AREA IS VERY HARD TO COME BY THESE DAYS!!! Nicely made and nice for display. Can also obviously be used. If you want the best, this is it. A lot of brass and extremely heavy! Antique Black Forest Casket withCarved Pheasants-Elegant Guy Gift

This is a stunning Black Forest Casket with a pair of carved pheasants on the top. The carving and entire casket appear to be made of walnut and are a dark brown color as the photos show. The lid opens up to a pair of small compartments which are hinged and swing out to give access to a larger lower compartment. All of the compartments are lined with what appears to be blue colored silk. The bottom linings are French Knot, Tuck and Tufted, and appear to be original and in very good condition considering their age. On the sides and front are additional panels with carved flowers and leaves. The casket has a hinged flap with the lock post and it fits tightly into the lock which has a working key. The key is not original to the casket but from the same time period. The casket measures about 10.5 inches from the bottom of the carved feet at the base to the top of the male pheasant’s head. The larger bottom section is 7.5 inches long by 3.5 inches wide around outside of the the rim. The casket weighs just over 2 pounds. Black Forest Caskets are personal favorites and we have had a number of them over the years. This one would rank as one of the very finest, both in design and in its condition. These boxes and carvings are so fragile that it is very unusual to ever find one in such great condition. We noted a tiny drying crack in the rooster’s neck, a tiny chip out of the back left side of its crest feather, and possibly some tips broken on the foliage behind the birds. We offer this as a wonderful addition to any Black Forest Collection or as a simply elegant gift to a very deserving person.
