Antique blue and white Dutch Tobacco Jar with Brass / Metal cover. Age 18th C (ca 1780). Marked on the base which is a bit odd but the signature is simular to De Vergulde Blompot as I have found simular tobacco jars same shape and also marked BP. Height (included cover) 36 cm / 14.2 inch. Perfect condition there is an old rim damage (see pics) and some slight spots caused by age, no cracks or repairs. Manufactorer De Vergulde Blompot. It has been my personal humidor for my Cuban sticks. Holds humidity perfectly; makes the “hush” sound when you close lid! Well maintained given it’s around 15-20 years old. Holds 25-50 cigars depending on vitola. Couple small minor marks on surface top but no nicks, cracks, damage. Comes with original box & humidifier (personally use humidity pack instead of the included humidifier). This unique oval shaped humidor is created by skilled European artisans using traditional woodcrafting techniques. Featuring a removable tray and separate campartment of stainless steel to store a cutter, matches or lighter. A Superb mid-size Dunhill Humidor, complete with Dunhill Humidity and Temperature system, original key and. Dunhill Cigar cutter included. In excellent condition, some light marks inside, remaining sides have a french high lacquered, polished finish, in perfect condition. One bottom corner very slightly, almost imperceptibly indented. Red felt base, with minor signs of use. This box is almost like new, with only the very slightest signs of use. External size approx: 23.5 cm wide by 20.5cm deep, and 12.5cm high. I think the wood is Bolivian or Brazilian Rosewood. Please view all the photographs. More photos are available on request. Please ask any questions.
