Antique Wind Up Music Box 2 Airs 1882 Cigar Humidor Hinged Box Silver Decoration

Antique Wind Up Music Box 2 Airs 1882 Cigar Humidor Hinged Box Silver Decoration. Measures 6 1/2″ x 9 7/8″ and 5 1/2 high closed. It is a footed box which is rather unique – 2 ball feet in the front and 2 peg feet in the back, it sits nicely level. The top silver decoration Art Nouveau cigar leaf with word cigars looks like it might be sterling but I could not find a silver mark. The bottom base wood panel has a crack. The box is complete other than the key for the lock which we do not have. There is an old paper label on the bottom that I can read “2 airs” but not much else can be seen clearly. The wood finish and the magnificent silver top Cigars decoration have a nice aged patina. Please see my 12 photos. Guaranteed a genuine antique late 19th century musical humidor box. Very Rare Sterling Silver Hinged Humidor given to Gov. Edmund Brown, Circa 1963

A very rare Sterling Silver presentation hinged humidor. The box was presented to Governor Edmund Brown by the mount San Jacinto Winter Park Authority on the occasion of the Palm Springs aerial tramway on September 12, 1963. It is inscribed with an image of the tram on inner gilt on the lid. Accompanied by a postcard showing Governor Brown cutting the tram ribbon and sent to Mrs. Brown at the executive mansion in Sacramento, California. Length: 11″ Width: 7.62″ Height: 4. The Humidor is structurally sound with solid working hinges for the lid. A prior owner affixed new green felt to the bottom. There is some discoloration and spotting of the interior tin. The hinge is in excellent working order. This very attractive white tin features red and black lettering advertising the Weideman perfecto cigar brand. This 1921s “Class” litho hinged 50 cigar humidor tin, measuring 5 1/4″ x 7″ x 3 1/2 is in good condition, with no rust, a few small dents and some minor age related paint chips and scratches. The hinge is in working order. This unusual, attractive mustard yellow tin features bold blue lettering on the front and back as well as a detailed portrait of a peacock with its gold and blue feathers spread. The cigars were manufactured by the Stone, Ordean & Wells Company, in Factory 5, Coll District, LA. This scarce 1900s “Julia Marlowe” litho flat humidor hinged cigar tin, measuring 1 1/8″ x 4 7/8″ x 8 1/4, is in good condition with no dents or rust and some age related paint scratches and chips. This highly attractive multicolored tin features two images of the American actress Julia Marlowe, who was born Sarah Frances Frost in Kesick, England in 1865 and died in New York in 1950. Ms Marlowe was internationally known for her interpretations of Shakespeare. The detailed image on the exterior lid features her in the role of Juliet with possibly her husband E. The interior lid features Ms. Marlowe in profile, sitting in a chair. The cigars were manufactured by Jose Granda Hermanos y Ca. Montreal, Canada in Factory 24, Port 17. Rare 1910s Y-B Yokum Bros litho humidor hinged oval 50 cigar tin in good cond

This rare 1910s “Y-B Yokum Bros” litho humidor hinged oval 50 cigar tin, measuring 5 3/8″ x 4 1/8″ x 6 1/8, is in good condition with no rust, some dents and some minor age related paint scratches and chips. The hinge is in excellent working order. This very attractive light brown, faux wood tin with gold and red lettering was made by the Federal Tin Company, Baltimore, MD. It features detailed, multicolored portraits of James and William Yokum, who founded the Yokum Brothers Cigar Makers, Reading, PA in 1879.
