This is an original vintage (early-mid 20th century) wooden smoking cabinet with magazine rack on both sides, copper liner on the inside of the cabinet, and drawer in the top. The turned spindle legs and handle are solid wood but all flat surfaces have a veneer. The door is covered in decorative veneers including a burled diamond shape in the center and a bold striped grain around the edges. The original floral brass pulls are intact on the drawer and cabinet door. The entire piece is in very good original condition and is sturdy, solid, and fully functional. The door latches shut and the drawer opens and closes easily as intended. Inside the cabinet door are two small hooks for hanging accessories. There are a few minor cracks and several chips in the wood veneers, but nothing is loose. The finish has some heavier wear in spots (inside the magazine racks from use, and mainly around corners and edges elsewhere). The table top has some tiny screw holes and some slightly lighter circles in the finish, probably where there were ashtrays attached at one time. Overall dimensions of the stand are 16″ W x 27 1/2″ H x 10 1/2″ deep and the cabinet compartment measures 7″ W x 8 1/4″ H x 7″ deep. The compartment inside the drawer measures 5 7/8″ W x 2″ H x 7 3/4 D.
