An amazing addition to any collection this figural ceramic lidded box depicts a full body standing hooded cloaked monk figure holding a beer. A rich mottled mauve purple majolica glaze, hand painted. To the top of the hood, it is possible it was never fully glazed in manufacturing as it doesn’t read as a flaw.

Listed separately and as one large lot (see last pic). Genuine walnut, porcelain lined, a few character marks due to age/use. Original tag on felt bottom; finger grip opening.
