The Box: A 4-inch square brass caddy featuring intricate floral “repoussé” relief work typical of Middle Eastern craftsmanship. It features a primitive wooden base and retains its original zinc/tin interior lining, historically used to keep tobacco moist or tea leaves fresh. The Finial: The heavy lid is topped with a detailed cast brass Airedale Terrier standing on a pedestal marked AIREDALE TERRIER. This figure resembles vintage 1920s car mascots or dog show trophy toppers.
