Bradley and Hubbard Smoking Set in the Arts and Craft Style – this is also the right period for Arts and Craft. The set consists of a round tray, a pipe holder, a matchbox holder, a tobacco jar (humidor) and an ashtray all in matching pattern. The base metal is probably bronze but could be brass, not sure. The pattern is made to look like crackled leather; I don’t think it is actual leather. This is in a dark brown, chocolate brown color. The metal has a nice old patina and we have done nothing to clean or repair anything. There are a few small dents in the tray, I think they show in the photos – part of the character that the set has. Overall the condition of these items is remarkably good – it is, however, evident that it is old and has been used. Wear is commensurate with age. The tray and the humidor as well as the ashtray are marked with a triangular Bradley & Hubbard Co. Mark – please look at the photos provided. The two smaller pieces are not marked, however, they are clearly matching the other pieces and as such assumed to be Bradley and Hubbard. The original/full set had a glass ashtray inside of the metal ashtray – this glass part is missing.
