Antique Royal Doulton Pottery Tobacco Humidor Jar Charles Noke Seriesware 1910s

The jar is signed Noke by the artwork, and there are no chips or cracks to this piece. The tobacco jar measures 8″ tall x 4.75″ in diameter, and displays very nicely! Royal Doulton Lion crown mark used from 1901 -1922. I’m guessing this is from the 1910’s from what info I’ve found, but I could be wrong on the date, but I know it falls between the date range of the mark listed above.

Rare Antique ROYAL DOULTON Porcelain GOLF Tobacco HUMIDOR Every Dog Has His Day

Here we have a Royal Doulton tobacco humidor that has been preserved to nothing short of great condition. This humidor features the illustration “Every dog has his day, and every man his hour”. The Doulton family started making stoneware goods (tableware, pipes, and sanitary fittings) in 1815, later enlisting local artists and art students to design the incredibly popular pieces. Doulton was granted the Royal Warrant in 1901 by King Edward VII, and continues to make fine glassware to this day, now a part of the Waterford Wedgwood family. 7″ x 5 1/2″ x 6. Early antique 1900’s era Royal Doulton Lambeth stoneware tobacco jar entitled Natural Foliage. Humidor was made in England and display green glazed jar with impressed leaves. Marked Royal Doulton with the number X8531 and 13379. Patent number is 194168. The metal twistlock mechanism bears the matching patent number. This piece is in very good to excellent condition with no chips, cracks, or crazing. 6 5/8″ tall x 5 3/4″ with no lid x 4 3/4 in diameter. English tiger oak pipe rack and humidor is complete with 2 wooden storage compartments and 2 mixing bowls on the inside. The Doulton porcelain tobacco jar is complete with no damage. There also some Art Deco bakelite portable clamping ashtrays included. Tobacco jar marked: England X Bakelite marked: Hide A way ashtray Pat aplld for The Bellroth Co Chicago This cabinet has both the option as a stand alone unit on a table or to be hung on a wall out of reach. A great addition to your Edwardian home decor or tobacciana collection. This would look great as a bathroom unit or make a great gift for Christmas or a birthday. MEASUREMENTS Tobacco cabinet measures 18″ wide by 9.25″ deep by 11.25 tall and weighs 12lbs 12oz. A rare and hard to find Royal Doulton piec in this Kingsware lidded tobacco jar, made in England and dating back to 1930. Designed with artistic flair by Charles Noke who developed and produced these lusterous and highly sought after pieces in the Kingsware line know for its rich dark brown glaze, this piece being the lidded tobacco jar which features an elderly man in skullcap smoking a churchwarden pipe and done in a raised relief. A well cared for piece in superb vintage condition measuring approximately 5 1/4″ high to top of lid, and 4 1/2″ wide. Great piece to add to and enhance a Royal Doulton Kingsware collection!
