A charming antique Black Forest style hand carved wood bear tobacco humidor jar and pipe holder. Featuring a fully dimensional figure of a bear with glass eyes, standing on a rocky formed base, with a lidded basket strapped to his back. Signed on the base with initials K. In overall good antique condition with general wear commensurate with age and use, some signs of old repairs to the base and to the basket. Measures 11 ¾” height x 8 3/8″ length x 4 ½ deep. Lrg Antique Hand Carved Black Forest Pipe Tobacco Humidor w Match holder

On the front of this large, antique Black Forest Humidor is a carved, Falconer holding his Falcon in one hand while holding a basket of birds in the other, after a day of hunting. This circa-1890s Carved Pipe Tobacco Humidor measures 10 ¼ by 7 ½ square and at the back is a draw for storing your pipes. Attached to this drawer is a carved wood cup for matches. The back of the draw is painted with a finish that is very rough so you can strike your match. Overall this late 19th century, Black Forest Pipe Tobacco Humidor is in wonderful original condition. There is a shrinkage separation on the left side that is strong, but that it. Offering this fine example of a Hand Carved Black Forest Humidor made in the 1920s. The Piece is aprox. 10.25″ tall x 5.25″ in diameter. One of the most sought after Black Forest Pieces and Collectors pieces is (Owls)…… I love them too! When you do find the Owl Humidors, they are usually very expensive. I find this piece makes me happy to look at, with its wide open Glass eyes, Feather head dress, and open Beak. I certainly couldn’t find one in a better condition. Rare BEAR TOBACCO JAR MUSIC BOX Black Forest Figural Wood Carved Humidor c. 1950

BEAR TOBACCO JAR MUSIC BOX. Black Forest Figural Wood Carved Humidor c. This is an Awesome BEAR TOBACCO JAR MUSIC BOX Black Forest Figural Wood Carved circa 1950. This tobacco jar music box. Is dark brown in color, with some decorative color accents, (photographed in natural light, the photos appear lighter than actual color). Is well modeled in deep relief with very good carving and detail. Depicts a seated bear carved in Black Forest style. Has an expressive face, a mouth with teeth, glass paperweight style eyes, ears straight up. Has a custom top, the head lifts open, and is fitted to the body; the base container, with a brass hinge, is the body of the bear with four outstretched paws; the base is hollowed out as a tobacco jar. Has a Thorens MUSIC BOX built into the base, which is activated by a string attached to the top; when the lid is opened the music box is activated- it plays There is No Place Like Home and Way Down Upon the Swanee River. The music box has been serviced, cleaned and oiled, and it works. Once the lid is closed the two songs stop after being played through. Has a round plinth elevated base with three small rounded feet; the underside has the winder key and access panel to the music box. Tall x 5.5 In. Wide x 6.5 In. The estimated date is circa 1950. The BEAR TOBACCO JAR MUSIC BOX Black Forest is in very good condition. Condition status includes minimal normal wear and rubbing. Overall, this work is sound, having no chips, cracks, or major defects, and having had no apparent repairs or restorations. Please see all photos which are a part of this description. Antique Hand Carved Black Forest Bear Tobacco Pipe Stand Holder. Black Forest hand-carved linden-wood hand-carved pipe tobacco holder stand modeled as hiking bear with walking stick and basket on his back, glass eyes. Holds up to 6 pipes. Tourists loved this carvings, and the art form became more well-known after exhibits of the work were shown at fairs like the 1851 Great Exhibition in London, the 1876 Centennial Exhibit in Philadelphia, the 1893 Chicago Worlds Fair and the 1900 Exposition Universelle in Paris. A similar stand is shown in the book entitled Swiss Carvings, The Art of the Black Forest by Arenski, Daniels and Daniels, published by The Antique Collectors Club in 2004. Good condition EXCEPT c. Rude repair to end of one pipe holder, damage to inside edge of one of the bear’s paws. Please examine all photos. Large antique german black forest cigar cellar humidor mid-1900’s woodwork 4lb

Large antique cigar cellar, humidor. Germany , mid-1900’s, made of wood. Height : 7 1/2″ ; width : 8″ ; depth : 8. Good overall condition , no key, for 24 cigars (4 drawers of 6) heavy wood, it looks like there was a small that have been reglued (last pic). My name is Greg, I’m a French guy who had business in Charlotte NC for 3 years. Unfortunately, I had to move back to France because of a slow activity. I fell in love with the US, particulary Charlotte! So now my only goal is to return to Charlotte, and for that I want to export French furnitures and antiques there! This idea came because of my love for wood and history. It is a great area to find valuable furnitures and smalls because of the proximity of wealthy ski resorts like Megève and Chamonix Mont-Blanc. It is also close to Geneva (switzerland), about 45minutes by car. The Geneva area is one of the richest in Europe due to finance and whatchmaking. Italy’s not to far as well, 40 minutes. So when you’re living and picking in this kind of environment, It is not rare to come across real pieces of art and history. Vintage SWISS Black Forest Chalet CIGAR HUMIDOR Cottage House BOX Hand Carved

Vintage SWISS Black Forest Chalet CIGAR HUMIDOR Cottage House BOX Hand Carved. This piece is VERY COOL and truly “ONE OF A KIND”.. ! It has two compartments under the roof and a built in lighter inside the chimney. It resembles an old traditional Black Forest Chalet from Switzerland. Some of the key features to identify are the Swiss wooden clogs outside the front door and the large overhanging eaves on the roof, typically seen on cottages in the Black Forest mountain range of the Alps. This beautiful area is well renowned for its enchanting Spas and masterful wood work that led to the invention of the world famous German Cuckoo Clocks. N the inside lid, there is a small painting of the Jesuit Church in Lucerne, Switzerland. On top, the chimney flips open a built in lighter. You may look closely and notice all the tiny details that are quite fascinating and realistic. The craftsmanship and attention to detail is evident in this piece. 12″x 10″x 9. The red paint on the roof is slightly separating, giving it a “cracked” appearance (not significant)… This is most likely due to the paint containing strong solvents… One window shudder is missing on one side window….
