Antique Advertising Glass Cigar Humidor Eugene Vallens & Co 1900s Tobacco

Eugene Vallens & Co’s Choice Cigars Ribbed Glass Humidor Circa 1915. This is a lovely advertising cigar container/humidor for Eugene Vallens & Co’s CHOICE CIGARS. The body of the container is very heavy ribbed glass that is in perfect condition, no chips, scratches or cracks. The beautiful glass body is topped with a metal lid that fits snugly on the base. The humidor stands 5 1/4″ tall with the lid on and it is 5 1/4″ wide. The glass jar alone is 5″ tall and 5 1/8″ wide. The bottom of the glass jar is embossed with. There is some tarnish and small spots of oxidation & a couple of small dents on the edge of the lid. Please closely view all photos as these are considered to be part of the description and are the best indicator of condition. From a smoke free environment.

Antique Tiffin Glass Wild Boar Tobacco Humidor Aqua Blue

For sale is a beautiful and extremely hard to find Tiffin Glass Co. It is aqua blue and has a wild boar on the lid. It is approximately 9″ tall with the lid, 5 1/2″ without it. It is 6 wide. It is in fair condition and does have some flaws. It has small chips / flea bites on the rim. The boar has a tiny chip near the nose. I’ve included photos of the damage. Refinished & Restored Antique Cigar Humidor With Mahogany Liner White Glass

Beautifully refinished solid mahogany cigar humidor. Measures 10 7/8″ long x 7 1/4″ deep x 4 1/4 tall. Inside is 9 1/2″ long x 6″ deep x 3 1/2 tall. Sides are 3/8 thick mahogany and assembled using a splined miter joint. 90º hinges in good working order. Exterior refinished with MinWax Satin Varnish and hand polished to a soft luster with 0000 steel wool and paste wax. Inside bottom and lid are lined with white painted glass. Sides are lined with unfinished mahogany. Engraving plate is blank. Grooves inside lid for humidifier strip. Lid fits tightly to base. This is a great circa 1900 advertising cigar container for the EUGENE VALLENS & Co’s. CHOICE CIGARS of New York City. The container is Art nouveau style & has a heavy glass body and a nickel lid with beautifully embossed leaves and flowers surrounding the company’s name – Approximately 5-1/2″ in height by 5″ in diameter – Ribbed Glass & nickel? It looks like a brass lid from the top but it is silver on the underside – Removeable lid Lifts Up – FACTORY NO. 50 on bottom of glass – The container has no chips or cracks but there are some scratches on the glass – There is some tarnish and small spots of oxidation & a couple of small dents on the edge of the lid. Eugene Vallens & Co’s Choice Cigars Ribbed Glass Humidor Circa 1915. From what i could find this is roughly a 1915 Cigar/ Tabbacoo holder. Antique Eugene Vallens Choice Cigars heavy glass 18 paneled humidor with ornate lid. Bottom of humidor has cast markings Factory No. 6’50’ 1st Dist. –5″ in diameter and 5″ in height, no cracks in glass or lid— lid fits snugly. Vallens, who was a resident of this city at his death, founded Vallens & Co. Cigar manufacturers, in Chicago fifty years ago. The company was later merged with the Havana-American Cigar Company, of which he became president, and the sonsolidated concern was in turn taken over by the American Tobacco Company. Vallens collaborated with President McKinley on the tobacco section of the McKinley bill.
