Special Note: The original Decatur Industries was located in Berne, Indiana. It was renowned for its high-end pipe stands, racks, and rests, which were often made from precious woods like walnut or oak. The company’s products, including desktop humidors, ashtrays, and unique items like the “Car Boy Pipe Holder, ” were known for their craftsmanship and durability. Evidence suggests the original Decatur Industries went out of business sometime before 2012. An online forum post from January 2012 references a “going out of business sale” from a few years prior. The company later re-emerged with a new line of products. The modern brand offers new pipe stands, rests, and racks made from exotic hardwoods, in addition to a new line of cleaning products and tools called Decatur Pipe Shield. This antique solid wood smoker’s cabinet humidor, with its carved accents and charming details, makes a perfect bedside table or statement piece. Entirely hand crafted, it’s got a tobacco box or caddy upon which the sweetest little hand carved Black Forest type dog or puppy is mounted. Lifelike glass eyes, a little collar with brass studs – darling details. Found in France – might be Black Forest. I’ve got lots of photos to show it from all angles, and measurements are noted on the photos. Very good to excellent condition for age and type. It’s without chips or cracks or damage, but it’s also without 2 of the silver metal rims encircling the cigar holder or are those for pipe stems? It has holders for 10, and only 8 have rims. Notable that at least each side is uniform. Everything else is just fine. We’re easy to deal with. You are very important! Our fine inventory is very important.
