This scarce 1920s paper label “Edwin’s” 25 cigar humidor tin, measuring 5 1/2″ x 4 3/8″, is in excellent condition with no rust or dents and some very minor paper chips and discoloration. The original wax paper liner remains in tact. There is also a paper label on the lid. This very attractive brown faux wood and black tin has detailed graphics. There is an extraordinary whimsical image of the Edwin Cigar Company Factory 327, 2nd District, NY with a huge “Lord Edwin cigar” poking out diagonally from behind the building. There is also a photograph of factory workers making the cigars by hand, as well as advertising for this tin of seconds/odd lots cigars. The Edwin Cigar Company manufactured 100,000 daily.
