Such a beautifully and simply designed, vintage pipe stand/humidor, done in an arts and crafts style that is reminiscent of Frank Lloyd Wright. The box isn’t perfect, having a few small imperfections, but it is nice overall and well constructed. It appears to be custom, and more than likely one of a kind. There are a few light corner damages, and drop of what looks like varnish or shellack on a lid. I did not try and remove it. I believe the wood is walnut. Please correct me if I’m wrong. Measures approximately 25.5″x8″x7.5. It smells wonderful too.. I strive to accurately depict and describe item conditions, but errors may occur. Clear communication is the best way to resolve issues.

Presenting a circa 1890 – 1910 solid oak pipe caddy in the style of John Grinsell & Son. Measures 14 1/4″ x 8″ x 10 1/2 high. Weighs just under 10 lbs. This beautiful cabinet is most likely English. It is decorated with silver or nickel plated Sheffield style hardware with 2 shield cartouches. The hardware is in excellent condition. The shields not engraved. It has a hinged lift top with divided storage compartments for pipes and accessories. The bottom section swings to expose 2 pipe holders for displaying and storing your favorite pipes, hooks for tools and cup holder with period Arts & Crafts pottery cup. The cup measures 4″ high x approximately 3 5/8″ in diameter. It has a few chips/ flea bites. The oak box has a beautiful finish showing very minor wear. The photos are a good representation of condition. It comes with what appears to be the original key. The lock turns nicely but “just” catches by a hair but does not latch snugly. The 2 latch hooks do not catch the holes. You can readily see there is nothing broken. I have provided photos. If you need additional photos or have questions please ask. This Mission Oak Cigar Humidor is about 11 ½” wide, 7″ deep, and 4 ¾ high. It has an original finish with a great patina on the wood and metal surface. Condition is good overall with small marks and minor lite wear at the edges. The glass interior is good with a small flake in a corner. The top plate was never monogramed and all the metal shows a patina of heavy tarnish. I do not have the key and the small sponge holder. I guarantee it to be old and as described. Please look at the photographs as they are considered part of the description. We reserve the right to change shippers to the most practical for your location.
